Minutes for
ACPM COORDINATING COMMITTEE MEETING
October 27, 2004

I. Call to order –Mary Jo, Lucille, Laurie, Ginger, Kathy, Mary, Candace in attendance
II. Opening Prayer
III. Approval of minutes & Agenda- only correction – the Festival is tentative.
IV. Reports

A. Treasury/ Membership

• Membership improved 39 members now over 19 reported last month.
• $1929.08 is the balance in our account· Will hold Jennifer Sims scholarship till spring semester
• Sent $100 to Bishop Fiorenza’s Fund and received a thank you.
• Lucille will send out selective mailings to remind people they have signed up at CL Days but have not yet paid.

B. Goals

1. Collaboration

• Kathy reported Shepherding the Shepherd II is done, We may look at that for next year
• Ginger and Mary Jo planning to go to Philadelphia. Attendance at national conventions may be down.

2. Outreach/ Publicity

a. Network- send out in Jan. Email Jennifer by Dec.14

Include :

• Catholic web sites - Mary Jo
• Business Meeting - Ginger
• Info on conventions -Kathy
• Lent - Laurie

b. Scholarship Committee

• Request names be submitted

c. Web site update

• Put newsletter and DRE talks on

C. Other Business

• Reviewed mission statement, goals, guidelines and looked at what we are doing now to further goals. Will consider including a specific reference to single adults not just families.

Professional Growth Days –no volunteers

Business Meeting

• Mary Jo has scheduled Bishop DiNardo to speak on A Vision for Catechesis and Lay Ministry on March 17 at St. Theresa from 9:30 to 2 PM
• Decorations for St. Patrick’s Day. Ginger will get a committee of ACPM members to help
• The event will be catered

Plan for new leadership: What to do about raising up new catechists, DRE’s

• Kathy suggested that paid leaders may be holding on and not letting volunteers take on responsibilities

Role during Catechetical Conference- Kathy, Mary Jo & Ginger involved in hospitalityTopics for Salad luncheon

• Ask for a leader
• Should it be prayer or fun

Do we need to plan for deanery/vicariate luncheons

• Candace requested that we serve pizza the CYM prayer and networking meeting on Feb. 10 at St. Dominic’s between 12 & 12:30 for 40 to 50 people.

Note - Change in plans for our Dec. 14 meeting. We will meet at Amazon Grill on Kirby at 11 AM for lunch. Bring a White Elephant Gift to exchange. We will also have our meeting there.
